Meet our expert: Eric

I know, I know! I have been MIA for quite a while, but we are back with a bang on this beautiful Monday morning. Eric is not only fantastically talented but he was one of the very first hairstylist’s on the Face Time Beauty team. Eric is one of the few stylists who also works in a salon, so he brings such unique experience and knowledge to the Face Time Beauty family. His calm demeanor and creativity keeps him a favorite among our clients and his charm and professionalism make us swoon every time we get to work with him! He is nothing but an A+++ in our book.

Grab your morning joe, have some “bobbies” on hand, and check out Eric’s interview!

(Love this special picture and the special bride in it – Tamra from Ever Swoon!)

What is the most essential product every bride should have at all times?

Some Translucent powder for shine maintenance and some lipstick.

What is your favorite hair/makeup trend for Spring/Summer 2014? How can this translate for a bride?

2014 trends vary from classic polished updos to bohemian inspired down styles. If I had to choose favorites for his season it would definitely showcase beach waves or a side swept chignon.

What is your all time favorite bridal look?

I love a vintage inspired bride. You can never go wrong with a finger-waved faux bob or some big bouncy S-waves.

What is the most versatile product you have in your kit?

My most versatile product is definitely Dry Shampoo. It refreshes your hair, absorbs any excess oils and gives your hair body.

What are the most common hair/makeup mistakes you see women make?

The most common mistake for any woman is to not properly moisturize their skin or hair. It’s important to use products for your specific skin and hair type.

What was the most memorable moment in your career and how did it change the way you work?

My most memorable experience was shooting a campaign with photographer Patrick McMullen.

Who and what inspires you?

I’m inspired by artists, musicians and fashion. Art is freedom of expression, music evokes emotion and fashion shows off your individuality.

If a bride couldn’t keep you in her back pocket all night long, what is the next best thing for touch ups?

If you can’t have a stylist for touch ups on your day you should use a setting spray for your makeup and a m.o.h. with a clutch full of bobbies.
