Good morning and Happy Monday! As a recent addition to the Face Time Beauty team, I wanted to immerse myself in the beauty scene and really grasp the art of glamour. My first step? Asking our savvy artists to share their special secrets. Our team is terrific and I invite you to check out our insider information each and every Monday!

Grab your coffee and croissant and fill up on Flynn’s makeup and hair must haves.

What is the most essential product every bride should have at all times?

Blotting powder and lipstick. But if I could only choose one, it would be lipstick because the bride is continuously talking, eating, and kissing guests. A touch-up is always a good idea!

What is your favorite hair/makeup trend for Spring/Summer 2014? How can this translate for a bride?

My favorite makeup trend for 2014 is metallic eye shadows. I am loving this right now! This can definitely translate into bridal by blending metallic and matte colors to give a dimensional and somewhat edgy finish.

My favorite hair trend for 2014 is loose waves. I think this is such a beautiful and glamorous look!

What is your all time favorite bridal look?

You never can go wrong with natural makeup with light contour, lots of lashes, and a soft pink lip. For hair, I like the softness of waves framing the face.

What is the most versatile product you have in your kit?

I definitely know how to work the Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow Pencil in 28E! I can use this as an all-over eye shadow, a liner, a lip liner, or even a soft highlight.

What are the most common hair/makeup mistakes you see women make?

To much blush! Using the wrong shades and product causes this mistake. I suggest investing in a good fan brush because it will help deposit the right amount of product. A little goes a long way and you can easily build color with a fan brush.

What was the most memorable moment in your career and how did it change the way you work?

The most memorable moment in my career was when I had the opportunity to go to Paris and work Paris Fashion Week for the first time. By just being there, I found new inspiration in the Parisian culture and motivation to become a better makeup artist.

Who and what inspires you?

My family inspires me to be a good, genuine, and well rounded person every single day. To find new inspiration for work, I like to go to bookstores and look through magazines for new ideas and techniques.

If a bride couldn’t keep you in her back pocket all night long, what is the next best thing for touch ups?

I think the best things for touch-ups are blotting powder and lipstick! A girl can never go wrong with these two!
